Day 198: Writing a Blog part 8

"Through the years doing policing I was on the one side also investigating spirituality, and therefore I started becoming more sensitive so to speak to the experiences of both the criminal and the victim. But at that stage I did not yet have the skills to 'lift the veil' on how crime works beyond what I had come to accept from what is 'accepted' by society- I remember just feeling really uneasy around certain policing procedures. It was only years later joining Bernard here at Desteni that he assisted me in seeing more of how the system worked and most importantly how to use tools such as research and common sense to assess that which exist in the world. Therefore, that is what blog writing is about - it is not just about placing information you are already aware of onto paper, but a platform to practise tools of expansion within the topic you are interested in. That is why our DesteniIProcess courses are developed to slowly expand a person's self awareness - and the blogs we write about 'world problems' becomes a personal platform from which ones learns about common sense and investigating what exist as the current accepted systems of the world."

Al right - so lets start with exploring what type of blog you would be interested in writing. Seeing as I have been walking my own experience in the previous blogs on how I became interested in Criminology or the study of the 'fringe' areas of Criminology - I suggest we continue with the topic of 'world problems' where I walk you through some structures/suggestions for when you have a topic based on 'world problems and solutions' that you would like to explore. From there we will explore personal journal keeping style blogs where the focuses will be on 'self-improvement/self-help' topics.

As I mentioned in the previous blogs research is the key. This is where many people find themselves getting stuck - because of the *Fear and *Self created beliefs that you have created around the point of writing, explorative writing and the placement of information and ones own perspectives onto paper.

The first question we ask ourselves is 'what world problems and solutions' would I like to address in my blogs? Perhaps you are interested in one particular 'world problem' such as 'world economies' or 'child abuse' or the 'psychology behind consumerism' or perhaps you might find yourself wanting to explore various issues you have noticed, thus practising your ability to expand in research and developing common sense insights. In the end all of these blogs will basically come down to the same structures, the difference will be how far you are willing to go in opening up any particular subject. For example some people are keen on addressing/writing about a subject but once they start reading about it they find that this subject is vast in its history and influence on the world. Some subjects are interconnected to other subjects and thus the fun and the effort then goes into exploring these various lines of information. For example - going back to the 3 examples I gave above as possible 'single: topics: 'world economies', 'child abuse' and 'the psychology behind consumerism'. For those who have already started exploring world system, you might have noticed something - that these 3 topics are already interconnected. How? Through for example our money system. Therefore as one starts researching the world economic system of capitalism, you will notice that many forms of child abuse exist due to a market existing for it - such as child trafficking, child pornography, child modelling (which is a sub topic of child pornography), medicating of children, child entertainment etc… So this ties in with the seller in a capitalistic system using a product to sell to a market to make a profit. Therefore the Life of a Child or a human or an animal is no longer Life, but a commodity for profit and that is how Capitalism functions as per the Principles according to which it exists. Then on the flip side to understand how and why a market exists for something one must explore the 'psychology behind consumerism' - therefore one will start to explore why somebody would watch child pornography but also why people will disregard the Life and the rights or the child for personal self interest (both from the consumer and seller perspective)?

Therefore, as you are able to see everything in the world is connected in some way or another - therefore the fun part about blogging is that we are able to draw lines between points and obviously this is where you create a series around one particular subject.

Therefore, if you realize that a particular subject might be quite big and interconnected - you might face an experience of 'oh no this is to much'. I spoke to somebody a while back who said that they were interested in taking on this one particular 'Crime against Life' which they had noticed playing out within Society - something which on the surface people hardly noticed as a problem (as with most things), however if you look 'behind the scenes' at how this thing came into being, the effects on people's lives and the secretiveness behind its existence - you soon realize the reality of its existence. The person I was chatting with said that they were keen to work on this subject and share with the public what she had seen, BUT as she dug deeper and deeper over time, she started feeling slightly overwhelmed by the vast amount of history, facts and lines of information between this one subject and other world system designs. Therefore where this person before had worked with singular subject blogs or blog that would span over maybe 2 or 3 parts, now she was faced with a blog series that would potentially be massive. Instead of this evoking a sense of enthusiasm within her - lol - it in fact had the opposite effect - she started feeling overwhelmed by the subject and ultimately resistance caused her to not even start in the first place.

I suggested that she immediately note down in the form of a tree structure or flow chart what points she already knew about her subject. From this she could create a 'skeleton structure' to place into some sort of structure the information that she is already aware of as well as using this to now start the research process into getting a fuller picture of the subject you are dealing with. This 'structure would allow her to keep tabs of what she will be walking as blogs throughout the series and at any given time you are able to slot in new pieces of information that reveal themselves as you do your research.

Day 184: Self Purification through Writing, Self Forgiveness and Self Application

In this blog I will be continuing with the 'Principled Living' Series. Here are the previous blogs in this series:

Next Principle:

4. Self Purification through Writing, Self Forgiveness and Self Application – the action of realising I am responsible for my own thoughts, words and deeds, to forgive myself for transgressions and change myself to ensure I take responsibility for who, what and how I am and through this know that I can trust myself to always be honest with me and so others

What I would like to focus on in this blog is talking a bit about my experience with Self-Forgiveness and how that fits into the previous sections or writings that I have done, where I had introduced you to the consideration that to change the world we have to live the change. This I do through applying the tools of Writing and within that Self Honesty to assess step by step where I am with regards to my thoughts, words and deeds. Previously I had also discussed the point of 'self-responsibility' - that in actuality one can look to the skies for answers or 'blame' others - but obviously common sense indicates that what is mine is mine - meaning my thoughts, words and deeds are my own. Therefore if one start observing the problems in the world - one will see how each human's internal realities become at some stage manifested into our external realities.

Therefore we literally do not have to look far to find the solutions to 'world problems' because it all started with the human, with how we think and react and behave. So change human instinctual behaviour and you will eventually change the world. So if one for example sets a proposal to implement a new economic system that will function to support life instead of greed and a person goes into fear and anger and have reaction thoughts protecting ones own self interest over the lives of other - then obviously this shows that internally there are dimensions to the human that are not standing as what is best for all. And yet interestingly we will all fight tooth and nail to protect ourselves in saying that we all really do care. We all really do feel empathy and do feel 'bad' for those who suffer? Really? I say let one's internal truth as who each one really is, be the determining factor that will set the stage for how we as humans are held accountable for how our words, deeds and thoughts have always and will continue to create reality.

So what to do once one has realised that one is completely responsible for what exist inside of Self, plus what manifests as our world. This is where Self-Forgiveness comes in. As the words imply Self Forgiveness is where one has realised Self is responsible towards Self for all ones thoughts, words and Deeds - and within this obviously the power to change Self exist with Self - not some God in the sky. Obviously when I say one is completely self responsible - obviously we take into consideration that there are existent within us specific pre-programmed and genetic traits - which have an impact on how we act and think and behave - however again here we bring the point back to Self. Meaning - once one realises that these designs are within us and therefore are us, then again the responsibility and power exist with Self to work on these designs and programs to change and/or stop them. Therefore some pre designs and programs one will be able to change completely, some take a bit longer depending on how integrated they are into physical systems, and some designs one might not change because they have completely become a physical part and when the physical is damaged or changed beyond a certain point - it from that perspective obviously becomes more difficult for oneself to change the original design as it is now physically manifested. Therefore one is able to delete the original program within self as ones DNA - however the physical consequences might still remain.

With Self-Forgiveness - I want to just backtrack one step and again reiterate that the starting point of self-forgiveness is as mentioned previously, bringing all points back to self - thus this indicates self responsibility. As mentioned previously in self responsibility - one will always be assessing in awareness with using self honesty - look at who self is in every situation. Therefore what are my real thoughts, words and deeds. Then in 'taking self responsibility one is stating that one not only realises that one is self responsibly but is taking it. What does this mean - this means you do what needs to be done inside self and in ones living actions to change or become or move the point to the outcome that you see is best - instead of what it is at the moment one realised the problem in ones 'thoughts, words and deeds'. So here as an example the first step in taking self responsibility for ones designs - is to either in writing pull the design apart - meaning you look at all its aspects, all its creational dimensions - so that within this one is able to take responsibility for all parts of the design so that no part is left sitting one could say in the mind design - to be left - to continue creating. For this one can use writing - which obviously allows one to from within oneself almost 'pour' the information outward onto paper - so that one has all the information 'in front of yourself'. This I have found as many have is already very therapeutic one could say - in the taking from within and placing in front of oneself - it has a release point to a certain extent - from 'keeping things bottled' or supressing things or merely not even seeing anything but having the design 'run' in the background. So a lot of clarity is reached by writing things out - especially in a way that allows one to see the design point - or as I like to call them 'puzzle pieces' that make up the point one is working wit.

Now after writing or simply looking at information inside oneself - as one becomes more adapt at pulling information inside oneself (where writing initially trains one) - this is where one takes responsibility and changes oneself in relation to what one is working with through self forgiveness statements. In forgiving self one is not only reading and writing blank statements. In each statement one is really forgiving Self. See how forgiving Self is completely different then just 'writing self forgiveness'. This many people get stuck with - but for each as for myself has been a point of self realisation - where you realize it like an 'aha' moment -oh I am really forgiving myself. As one applies self forgiveness you will experience many shifts and releases in the mind body connections. But realise that in forgiving self one must be willing to a) as discussed take responsibility for ones role within the point you are facing and b) let the point go - this for many is difficult on 2 levels - one is that self has become addicted to the outcome of the problem - for example being angry with self - one does not want to let go of anger because if I am angry I don’t have to experience intimacy with others and then if I don’t face intimacy I don’t have to face my actual fear of rejection etc …

Secondly one holds onto points because of its placement in the design of ones mind and therefore the mind has specific placeholders for each and every part of ones experiences - therefore applying self forgiveness at times one really will be challenged by ones own mind - proof if you look at it that we have always been quite separated from our own minds even - when we described how difficult it can make things for us. Interesting isn't it -shows us that we have never actually been the directive principle of ourselves - because in most cases we will describe an aspect of our mind (for example anger, jealousy, addiction etc) as being to powerful to overcome.

Day 175: Living by the Principle of Self-Honesty Part 1

In this blog I will be continuing with the 'Principled Living' Series. Here are the previous blogs in this series:

Next Principle:

Living by the principle of self honesty – to ensure I am pure in thought, word and deed: that my within and without is equal and one. Who I am within is who I am without and vice-versa

Ok, so in the previous blogs I have discussed why I live and apply these principles - in which I realize myself one and equal to the rest of the world and thus realize the inter-connectedness between myself and what happens in my 'outer reality'.

The next question is how or what do I utilise to make sure that my thoughts, words and deeds are purified - that who I am is living and applying and thinking according to 'what is best' for all, which would imply that what I allow inside of me must be a representation of what I have realised is the best for all people to be living and thus what we live and speak as humanity. I use self honesty to asses myself, my words, my actions and my thoughts.

For example - throughout my day, I observe myself. In conversations I observe during and after that which I said and I use self honesty to assess where what I said came from. So for example self honesty will allow me to see that for example I spoke from fear or to try and impress someone. If I was not using self honesty in that moment, based on my previous principles of living to my utmost potential and living by the principle of what is best for all - then I would have assessed that my words were fine, because I would have used my mind and its defense, self protection mechanisms, to justify why I said what I said.

Therefor if one makes a decision to live, speak and do what is best for all, then one makes the decision to utilise and live self honesty as ones 'companion' you could say, which always sets the mark so to speak of one getting to know thyself in every moment so that from there, one is able to self forgive (discuss in another blog) and take responsibility for (in another blog) what I had actually done, and change what I did through the application of the tools of self honesty and self correction.

Therefore, using self honesty allows oneself to set yourself back to zero so to speak where you give yourself the opportunity to see ones mis-takes, to align them to how you see you would like to speak/live/act, and this allows one next time to speak/live the correction. For example sticking to 'I spoke and then realized I did so out of fear'. Once I use self honesty to initially see that this was my starting point, then I either use writings (will explore more later) to open up the design of how I got to 'speaking out of fear' and all of its various dimensions - which if un-cleared/undirected will keep the point existent in the mind, which will simply mutate itself into new patterns/behaviours. Therefore self honesty does not merely stop at the point where one goes 'oh I spoke there out of fear' - it allows one as I mentioned to look deeper into all the 'puzzle pieces' so to speak of this one design. For example 'speaking out of fear' - if I use writing or immediate investigation within myself (method 2) I will find the design aspects such as childhood memories/experiences, emotions, people involved, reasons, excuses, justifications, wants, desires etc…

Day 154: Living by the principle of what is best for all part 5

Previous Blogs in this series:

"If I truly felt anything towards abuse, towards the problems we faced – I had to start with me and stop yelling to the skies, or blaming the government, or blaming the obvious baddies etc. I mean if one uses a bit of common sense you will realize that even if we ended up like in those end of the word Apocalypse movies, where we get shipped to another planet because we have destroyed this one. What would change? Nothing – due to our inherent nature, we as who we have become would simply start all over again and destroy – in time the new planet; basic common sense. If we don't change, nothing will change. So therefore this principle of ‘doing what is best for all’ became my full understanding as the solution. If we want to stop the madness and have ‘what is best’ – how can we expect to still live the secret aspects of our minds as our fears and justifications for our self interest? How can we respect jesus as an example of a man who did and encourages living what is best – but we continue not living what is best?  Why must somebody else like a guru or deity or religious figure or politicians do what is best for us, but we don't want to live that within ourselves as a principle?"

So with regards to realizing the Principle of doing what is best for all, I realizes firstly as mentioned in my previous blog, that this would directly imply that I would have to become the change that I expected from the world - because if I did not change my beingness, the starting point of who I was as the human living on this planet directly creating and participating and allowing abuse in all forms of its creation from minuscule to large - then obviously we don’t stand a chance. At first this was a bit of a shock, a revelation that at first allowed me to feel relief as I realised that I could finally stop waiting for some god or deity or 'powerful special person' to save me, but then a while later as I looked at the real steps that I will have to take to bring that about, it left me experiencing a slight bit of anxiety in my solar plexus, as it dawned on me that self change actually means changing who I am, how and what I think and what I allow to exist within me.

Therefore even thought at Desteni you will notice we use many big words or knowledge concepts such as 'self honesty, self forgiveness, self responsibility and self realization. But if you take a closer look at the people who apply these tools and principles - what we are directly saying by speaking these words is that for each it becomes a point of 'living' the words, not just merely speaking them. Obviously this in itself as I realized is the difficult part because and this ties in with the definition of the statement: Living by the principle of what is best for all – guiding me in thought, word and deed to always in all ways direct problems to the best possible outcome for all - what this means is to actually investigate, take responsibility for and change how I have conditioned myself into how I think and speak and express myself.

As an example of : Living by the principle of what is best for all – guiding me in thought, word and deed to always in all ways direct problems to the best possible outcome for all; What does this practically mean? This means as stated above that I would like to live in a world where we stop deceiving and abusing and living only for self interest as the addiction to the Mind. This means that my principle becomes doing and living that which in all ways will always support us as humanity to be better people, functioning in all ways to create a society of people that are actually if one were to say 'the image and likeness of god' - and here I am not saying I belief in a god - here I am referring to what one would understand to be the best human possible. What would this imply - well for me this means stopping all actions, words and thoughts that are not in my best interest, because if it is not what is best for me, then it is obviously not what is best for others - and therefore one will say that to direct one in ones words, thoughts and deeds, is to in every moment asses 'me', meaning to purify my thoughts, words and deeds.

Next blog: walking an example of Living by the principle of what is best for all – guiding me in thought, word and deed to always in all ways direct problems to the best possible outcome for all

Day 150: Living by the principle of what is best for all part 3

Please read the previous 2 parts:

Day 147: Living by the principle of what is best for all part 1
Day 148: Living by the principle of what is best for all part 2
“In Psychology we touch on some of these practices that are actually realized as not being what is best for us such as ‘condemning someone because of a different belief system, bullying a child because they wont accept the same religion as the parent, victimising someone in the community for being gay/lesbian, attacking someone's character online because of their hairstyle or life style preference, society victimising/targeting a minority group which stir reactions and fears due to their different way of living. These are but a hand full of examples amongst millions of events that happen every day in millions of house holds and communities all over the world. Where people are enforcing their personal belief systems, ideologies, values and ways of thinking onto others and for most of these situations as I mentioned above – they are seen as justifiable by the rest of society under the banner of ‘protecting society’ or ‘your family’ or ‘your way of living’.”

So for myself I realized many things while investigating the world and the mind of the individual – our fears, our beliefs, how emotions and feelings work, what is consciousness etc. Within this I realized one key principle which in a way simplifies everything – ME. If I change myself into what is the best human I could be, where I stop looking towards gurus and profits like Jesus and actually change and Live me to be a solid, effective, trustworthy human being, living what is best for ALL – and then if each human does that, then obviously we will put an end on an individual thus global level to all forms of abuse.

Currently we are looking towards and blaming the governments, religions and ‘other people’ for not doing what is best – but can we see how these institutions are merely placed by us as management points and if we decide to live dishonesty, then obviously the management systems are going to manage us within our dishonesty. I mean religion was formed to popecontrol the human, where we were not living self responsibility – so people stepped in and used religion as  way to control people. Really, you can sugar coat religion as best you want to by saying ‘but jesus came’ and ‘I saw this’ and ‘but that happened’ or ‘that book was written by that profit/gods son/disciple’ and ‘that miracle happened’. You are able to justify any pre-programmed event into proof for what one is doing. And religion is an example of us not standing by ourselves, for ourselves as responsible humans. It is a mechanism that holds the human almost like  a backbone, where we do not trust ourselves to act alone for the best of all. And of course if one look at the principles of religion which have all clearly been shown, you will see that the hidden truths behind how the Mind of the human functions – is the foundation from which religions and the same for political parties are structured.

If in my mind  I desire to have somebody take my ‘sins’ away from me so that I can watch porn and have nasty thoughts about others people and deceive people in my business – what better way to do that than create a religion that will explain my weaknesses and take away my sins, so allowing me to continue doing what I was doing, but with a justified, societally acceptable scapegoat and outlet. The same method is applied for religions that condemn, and declare wars, and fight over so called ‘right and wrong’, and to protect classes of people and to condemn people who are different than those of that religion …. look at what exists inside ourselves as we belongs to the religion and you will see the truth of who we are at all times. The rules of a religion shows us the rules of our Minds. The same applies for politics and how laws are created – always protecting those who have an involvement in how laws are made.

Getting back to the Principle – I realized firstly that to be the change of a better human, a better world – I had to be the change – this in itself is common sense, but most who fight this point – do so because what we have accepted as ourselves as the true self that is hidden in our thoughts and reactions and feelings – this true self does not want to change. The true beingness of the human wants to have our special feelings and thoughts and place in the world where we are unique and different and liked and desires and rich and where we can separate ourselves from ‘others’ all the time, so that we can be better and see ourselves as better. This all comes with the territory of the Human Ego, which functions according to ( as I have mentioned before) ‘Energy’. The addiction to energy which is created by the mind within the body, is the reason why the human ‘thinks’. I am not referring to thinking as a practical tool of moving oneself in your environment such as ‘what will I make for supper’ I am talking about the mind that functions in a quantum level for energy as the Ego and Personality – where the thought goes from what will I make for supper – to I must make food that will be low in calories – so that I can loose weight – so that I can be skinny – so that men and woman will like me for being skinny and beautiful and this allows me to ‘feel’ beautiful and acceptable and desirable etc… and now I accept myself. One is able to walk inside the mind like this and see how most of our thoughts are running all the time to work on the deception which has become ‘the human’. Where our existence has become that of living through and for wanting to be special and powerful and unique and through these mind-values we will only accept ourselves.

So you might be asking yourself the question – what is wrong with me wanting to accept myself if I am beautiful? As I have explained above – currently all forms of abuse in this world exists, because we are all busy inflicting harm onto ourselves and others for self interest – about what ‘I WANT’. Therefore a choice always exists, for us to continue allowing this planet to be a foundation for us to grow up into adults where we accept what it means currently to be human, and we too accept our own pre programmed designs which take us down a path of playing a role in the self interest and illusion of what we have created as what it means to be alive. For most being alive means being loved, being appreciated, having material goods, having fun, having money, being free to do what you want, feeling special, belonging, having power in ones life. These statements as examples sound very nice on first view – however I encourage you as I have done for myself to walk these thought patterns deeper into what really goes on behind them, why we have them and what are the consequence in our world and to other people, nature and the animal kingdom, for the individual to be able to experience these ‘desires’ and desired forms of apparent ‘living’.

To be continued...
